In an Instagram post on Sunday morning, Paula Badosa confirmed her split from Stefanos Tsitsipas after about a year together, with the two supporting each other in their careers and sharing interesting updates about their relationship. them on a couple’s Instagram account.

In his Instagram story, Badosa, 26, said: “After careful consideration and many cherished moments together, Stefanos and I have decided to amicably separate. We have shared a journey filled with love and learning, and as friends who deeply respect each other, we now choose to continue on our separate paths.

“We are so grateful for the support of our friends, family and everyone who has been a part of our story. As we enter this new chapter of our lives, we continue to wish each other the best in all our endeavors. We kindly ask for privacy during this time and we thank you for your understanding and respect.”

During the early stages of their relationship, Badosa suffered from injuries, notably a stress fracture in his back after last year’s Wimbledon.

Once ranked No. 2, the Spaniard missed 3 of the 4 major tournaments in 2023 and found his footing when he reached the third round at the Australian Open 2024.

Most recently, she lost in the first round of the Madrid Open to qualifier Jessica Bouzas Maneiro.

Tsitsipas, 25, currently ranked seventh, just lost in the second round of the Madrid Open but reached the final in Barcelona, where he fell to Casper Ruud of Denmark.
