The two childhood friends started their dating life on a high, which went a step further when Simek proposed to Vondrousova after the 2020 Olympics. After two years, they decided to get married in June. This childhood dream story of Vondrousova has now come to an end.

It just didn't work out for us. Now we are formally resolving the divorce, but we have agreed on everything.

Adding to this tough loss was her decision to divorce her husband Stepan Simek. Her husband who usually acts as a support system during these tough times, has parted ways on good terms. During one of their past interviews, the couple revealed how they support each other during lows.

They once even stated that they were like one soul. However, things didn’t work out, and the two will head their ways. Vondrousova will now gear up for her first-round match at the Mutua Madrid Open, which is set to begin in a couple of days.
