Nick Kyrgios issues a five-word special message to Roger Federer’s aesthetics that still keeps fans expecting a comeback

Nick Kyrgios continues his rehabilitation as he remains out of action for almost a year now. He played just one match during the entire 2023 season, a first-round exit at the grass event in Stuttgart. Since then, he has made multiple attempts to come back but has failed.

Meanwhile, he has tried his hand at various things. He turned coach for Frances Tiafoe at the UTS (Ultimate Tennis Showdown). Under Naomi Osaka and LeBron James‘ company, he is currently hosting his show ‘Good Trouble with Nick Kyrgios‘ where he has invited some esteemed guests.

With a commentary stint at the Australian Open as well, the former World No. 13 has been fairly busy in off-court activities. Amid all this, he has remained fairly active on his social media giving his take on various things in and around the world of sports.

Recently, he reacted to an old video of Roger Federer from his playing days. The Swiss maestro was seen engaged in a rally at the US Open showing his exquisite footwork and range of shots. The account that posted the video hailed the 20-time singles Grand Slam champ as the most aesthetic player and Kyrgios also gave his opinion to it.

Smoothest to ever do it

tweeted Kyrgios.

Over the years, Kyrgios has been one of the most consistent in his opinion about the GOAT debate. While he has hailed his good friend Novak Djokovic for ending the debate based on his numbers, the Aussie has maintained his stance of Federer being the best for his impact on the game.

The GOAT debate has been quite heated as every individual has his definition to decide the criteria. Kyrgios has backed Nole for the records and statistics but bowed down in front of the eight-time Wimbledon winner for an overall impact on the sport.
