Hubert Hurkacz enters his first tour-level clay-court semi-finals

Polish ace Hubert Hurkacz continued his dream run on the clay courts of Portugal as he made it to the semi-finals of the Estoril Open. He played his two matches with absolute perfection to clean the opponents up in straight sets.

Hurkacz, the second seed, will now play his first tour-level clay-court semi-final after defeating Spaniard Pablo Llamas Ruiz with a score of 7-6(4), 6-4. Despite facing eight break points, Hurkacz saved them all to advance in one hour and 46 minutes. This victory marks Hurkacz’s 20th tour-level semi-final appearance.

Now, he is up against Cristian Garin, who is just off one of the most controversial matches. With the spot in the finals online, both the players will hope to give it their all.
