Grigor Dimitrov’s history with Maria Sharapova
Grigor Dimitrov and Maria Sharapova dated each other for almost two years, and they were among the most popular tennis couples. The Russian ace had described in her book “Unstoppable” how the two came into a relationship and how they could not get enough of each other.

Sharapova had revealed that Dimitrov reached out to her through her agent, and it all started with a couple of emails. She also talked about the phase when they would speak over the phone and Dimitrov would want to keep going.
Our messages turned into phone calls, our phone calls into Skype calls. It was very simple and genuine. I didn’t think too much of it until, after one of our phone conversations, he dialled me back thirty seconds later and said, ‘I’m sorry, but I miss your voice. Can we speak for a few more minutes?”Maria Sharapova wrote in her book. (H/T: The Indian Express)
She then went on to talk about their separation and what led to it. Sharapova said that two years after dating, she felt the need to be alone and more focused on her career. The Russian star also revealed that what meant the world to Dimitrov was something she did only because she had to. Sharapova said that it felt like “his good memory was my bad memory.“
Notably, the couple announced their relationship during the 2013 Madrid Open; however, it could only last until 2015.
