First look: Aryna Sabalenka, Frances Tiafoe unveil new Nike kits ahead of Roland Garros

Snaps of the new apparel from the Swoosh’s 2024 Paris Collection have just landed on social media.

Aryna Sabalenka, Carlos Alcaraz, Frances Tiafoe and more will hit the courts at Roland Garros wearing pieces from Nike’s new 2024 Paris Collection—and the first look at their new kits has just hit social media on Tuesday.

World No. 2 Sabalenka stood out during her run to the Australian Open title this year by wearing her own signature colorway of that tournament’s apparel drop. She looks set to do the same in Paris, where she will rock the NikeCourt Slam Women’s Dri-FIT Tennis Dress in terre battue-hued “Rust Factor” orange.

While the dress’s silhouette is quickly becoming familiar for Sabalenka—that high neckline, keyhole back cut-out and a pink or red colorway seems to be her go-to look during majors—the pattern is all new, with a French twist.

The dress features Nike’s version of a moiré pattern, which refers to the effect caused when repetitive prints overlap and create an unintentional new pattern. This is usually caused by a mistake in the printing process, but in this case the resulting “happy accident” (as Bob Ross would say) is a swirly, dreamy optical illusion.

Sabalenka seems set to wear Rust Factor orange, while the dress will also be available in “Thunder Blue”. The print will be featured across various pieces of Nike’s Paris collection, which includes separates like tank, tees, skirt, and more.

Expect to see these looks on WTA players like Sabalenka, Zheng Qinwen, Madison Keys and more, while ATP stars like Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner and more are also expected to pick their outfits from the 2024 Paris Collection.

The men’s collection gives players the choice of two tops—either a DriFIT crew neck or polo with a zipper—and a pair of two-in-one shorts, along with warm-up gear, accessories and more. Colorways include Rust Factor orange, Thunder Blue and Vivid Sulfur yellow, set against contrasting black and white details.

World No. 25 Frances Tiafoe was seen showing off the Thunder Blue colorway in the campaign unveiling the newest collection—a fitting frontman as the brand’s highest-ranked American ambassador on ATP side heading into Paris. He may end up playing a more pivotal role there, too, with Nike’s only two Top 10 names, Alcaraz and Sinner, still under an injury cloud after Madrid and Rome.

Naomi Osaka and Rafael Nadal are both expected to compete at Roland Garros in custom kits—stay tuned to see what Nike has cooked up for the former No. 1s in Paris.
