Caroline Wozniacki shares tight hug with children Olivia and James as they spend ‘quality time’ together ahead of Madrid Open

Caroline Wozniacki shared a tight hug with her children Olivia and James as they spent some quality time together ahead of the 2024 Madrid Open.

Wozniacki is married to former NBA basketball player David Lee. The couple got engaged on November 2, 2017, and were married two years later on June 16, 2019. They welcomed their first child – a daughter, Olivia, on June 11, 2021 and their second child – a son, James, on October 24, 2022.

The Dane, who retired from tennis in 2020 at the Australian Open, made her comeback last year during the North American hard court swing. Though she has had a hard time making deep runs in tournaments, the 33-year-old found some rhythm at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells where she made it to the quarterfinals. However, she was forced to retire in the second set of her match againstIga Swiatek due to a right toe injury.

The former World No. 1 kicked off her European claycourt swing at the Charleston Open where she lost in the second round to Anhelina Kalinina. She will now compete at the 2024 Madrid Masters and has received a main draw wildcard.

Despite her busy schedule, Wozniacki makes it a point to spend time with her children. In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), she shared an adorable photo where she can be seen hugging her children Olivia and James.

“Quality time ❤️,” Wozniacki captioned the post.

In a recent interview with Vogue, Caroline Wozniacki explained how motherhood has had an influence on her tennis.

The Dane said that her children’s well-being is most important to her and that gives her the confidence to thrive on the tennis court.

“I think my priorities are really straight now. The most important thing for me is that my kids are happy, healthy and they’re thriving. It’s so exciting and I love being a mom. Win or lose, I come home and the kids don’t care. I think that just gives me a confident sense of, ‘Let’s go out there. Let’s give it everything that you possibly can do and everything you have’,” Wozniacki said.

Caroline Wozniacki also revealed that she wants to represent Denmark at the 2024 Paris Olympics and is targeting another Grand Slam triumph.
