British tennis ace Andy Murray is all set to join hands with Dan Evans as the veteran looks to pull off something great at the 2024 French Open as well as the 2024 Paris Olympics. As the 36-year-old struggles with injuries and tries to stay afloat on the tour, he is looking to partner with compatriot Evans to bolster his chances of winning something.
As per a report, Murray, being a proven winner at the Olympics, is expected to make it to the Great Britain squad and plans are already in line about who will partner with the veteran for the mega event. Murray himself is seeing the chances of winning a medal in the doubles event hence the decision to play at the French Open doubles.

Both Murray and Evans have been named on the singles’ entry list and the report claims that Murray has also given his name for the doubles event. The 36-year-old would have been ideally paired with Joe Salisbury as Great Britain captain Leon Smith is mulling at the Olympics, but Salisbury’s commitment with Rajeev Ram of the USA means Murray will have to play alongside Evans.

Andy Murray has been a proven champion but injuries have been pegging him down. The 36-year-old suffered a setback at the Miami Open when he injured his ankles. Although he avoided the need for surgery, he is racing against time to regain full fitness.
The Briton was recently spotted practicing on clay and is working hard to get back to the level where he can compete in a Grand Slam tournament. Playing at the Olympics is also a challenge for Murray but the 36-year-old who has won as many as three gold medals across different events is expecting to land another one before he calls it quits.
He talked about this in an interview with The Times when he admitted that he would play the Olympics “genuinely only if I felt like there was a chance of winning a medal”, and in reality, that chance only exists in doubles. Hence, the 36-year-old is looking to prepare in the best way possible and is looking to play as many doubles matches as possible.
