The Polish star has revealed that she was targeted for her admiration for Swift.

In turn, Taylor Swift is almost an icon of pop culture for me. A perfectionist like me. It seems that on the one hand, everything in her career is perfectly planned, and on the other, it is so natural. I admire that. I once even thought that if I were famous, I would like to behave like her in various situations.

Iga Swiatek said.

She further talked about her experience from her school days and how a meme on Instagram made her feel like it was for her.

Anyway, I must admit that at school some people laughed at me for liking her so much. So when I recently saw a meme on Instagram: "Schools in Australia postponed exams because Taylor Swift concerts were planned," and someone commented: "They laughed at me at school," I felt it was about me.

Being number one can be overwhelming. I'm not just a tennis player anymore. I have become a person who has to be very responsible and speak out on difficult topics. This means that my role is not as simple as I imagined it when I dreamed of such a career as a 12-year-old.

Iga Swiatek said.

Notably, Swiatek has matured really well for her age as she speaks eloquently on everything from tennis to politics to human rights. The 22-year-old is also loved for her calm demeanor.
