Polish tennis ace Iga Swiatek is a big Taylor Swift fan and hence she cannot miss out on the chance to watch her favorite star perform live. As the pop star goes on a world tour as part of The Eras Tour 2024, Swiatek is also looking out for tickets. The World No. 1 tennis player was asked if she had already gotten a hand on them but the response was negative.

The 22-year-old was talking about the apprehensions as she talked about her struggle to manage other things with her schedule. Swiatek was disappointed that she wouldn’t be able to attend the concert as the tickets for the show she wanted to go to were sold out. However, her face lit up when she found out that she could still get a hand on the tickets.

Swiatek said that it would be great as she could go to the concert now. She also thanked the journalist for the reminder. When asked about the details of the show, Swiatek hushed and asked not to reveal it to anybody which show she was going to attend.

Taylor Swift? Ask Jules, he is the IMG agent so he should get it. No, but it's hard with the schedule. I think there's one show that is going to be perfect but I think the tickets are already sold out. Not yet? So, I can just buy them? Well, then what's the problem?

Swiatek entered the Madrid Open semifinal as she beat Beatriz Haddad Maia in the quarterfinal on Tuesday. The World No. 1 beat Haddad Maia in three sets despite losing the opening set. Swiatek won the match 4-6, 6-0, 6-2 to set up a clash with Madison Keys in the semifinal.

Swiatek said she was happy that she was able to make a comeback quickly before it was too late. She also admitted that she made too many mistakes in the opening set. Swiatek then talked about going back to basics and it worked in her favor.

I needed to for sure stick to the tactics, because in the first set I started making too many mistakes. I started playing too fast. I just needed to really get back to basics and what I wanted to play today. It took me a while, longer than usual, but I'm glad that it happened after the set anyway.

Notably, this is Swiatek’s third appearance at the Madrid Open. While she suffered a third-round exit in her maiden appearance, the Polish ace made it to the final last year. However, Swiatek lost to Aryna Sabalenka. Now, as she has reached the semifinal already, it is to be seen if she manages to go the distance or not.
