Carlos Alcaraz has opted for a fresh haircut just days after claiming his second Wimbledon title. The Spaniard’s latest hairdo attracted amusing responses from fans who thought it did not suit him.

Alcaraz won the 2023 Wimbledon Championships by defeating Novak Djokovic in a five-set final. He successfully defended his title on Sunday, July 14, as he got the better of the Serb for the second consecutive time in the championship match at SW19. The 21-year-old downed the 24-time Grand Slam winner 6-2, 6-2, 7-6(4).

In his only grasscourt tournament before Wimbledon, Alcaraz lost to Jack Draper in the round of 16 of the Queen’s Club Championships. However, he reached the final of the third Major of the year and defeated Djokovic in straight sets to earn his fourth Grand Slam title.

Soon after, Alcaraz got a fresh hairstyle. The Spaniard is a regular customer of a barber named Victor, based in Murcia, Spain. Victor regularly posts on Instagram about Alcaraz visiting his shop. On Tuesday, the barber shared a glimpse of the World No. 3’s latest hairdo on his Instagram story with the caption:

“It’s also tradition 💈 After winning @wimbledon @carlitosalcarazz.”

Alcaraz got his hair trimmed into a buzzcut from the sides. One of the player’s fans shared Victor’s Instagram story on X, and fans were unimpressed with what they saw.

Carlos Alcaraz will prepare for Paris Olympic 2024 following his Wimbledon triumph

Following his French Open and Wimbledon triumphs in the space of six weeks, Carlos Alcaraz will move on to prepare for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris. The Games are set to be played on the clay courts of Roland Garros from July 27.

World No. 3 Alcaraz will represent Spain and play in the singles and doubles events. He will partner 22-time Grand Slam winner and two-time Olympic gold medalist Rafael Nadal in the doubles event. This will be the 21-year-old’s first Olympic participation.
