The former world No. 2 had announced on New Year’s Day that she and husband and coach Jiri Vanek were expecting their first child together, and has been on maternity leave for the entire season so far.
The couple, together romantically since 2021, wed in July of last year in their native Czech Republic.
The third of the WTA tour’s new moms in 2024, Belinda Bencic, was one of the first players to congratulate Kvitova in the comments of her post, sending three heart emojis. The 2020 Olympic gold medalist welcomed daughter Bella in April.
