PARIS—Make like an Eiffel Tower!

Last year at Roland Garros, Tennis Channel asked players to show off their best Mona Lisa impression. This time around? ATP and WTA stars ended their media day hit by attempting to recreate the iconic Parisian landmark.

“That’s quite easy, I would guess,” said a semi-confident Daniil Medvedev.

The world No. 5’s elbows were probably pushed out a little too far to mimic the design. Paula Badosa, Sebastian Korda and Jelena Ostapenko were also among the players to follow that trend.

As did Jannik Sinner. “That’s enough,” remarked the Australian Open champion.

“Make me win guys,” said Ons Jabeur, a standout of the Mona Lisa challenge. On this occasion, her competition may have stepped up enough to keep the Tunisian off the podium.

Mirra Andreeva had the foresight to tuck her arms in over her face. Casper Ruud managed to keep his tightly extended above his head, along with Aryna Sabalenka after the two-time Australian Open winner adjusted her positioning.

And Andy Murray was a rare participant who thought about the bottom of the structure by planting his feet further apart before creating his version.

“Is that everyone’s pose?” inquired the three-time major title holder.

All in all, it was an entertaining mission. Even amid all the silliness.

Raising his eyebrows and then looking down trying not to giggle, Novak Djokovic soon bought into the concept.

“Okay, let’s move the chair,” said the defending champion, who ultimately delivered a worthy pose.

“Like here?” checked Carlos Alcaraz. “Here?” he questioned again before breaking into laughter.

“This looks so stupid, okay,” laughed Coco Gauff.

Concurred the master of one-liners Andrey Rublev, “It looks stupid next level.”
