2024 Nottingham Open WTA Draw With Raducanu, Jabeur, Kostyuk & More

The grass season starts with the 2024 Nottingham Open, which is a WTA 250 tournament, running from June 10th to 16th, and the draw was revealed.

After weeks of clay tennis, players will return to the green as grass season starts, and one of the events will be the Nottingham Open. It’s a fairly popular smaller event that always gathers a lot of good names because Wimbledon is not far away, and players need to get used to the surface.

Emma Raducanu skipped Roland Garros after some solid weeks on clay, which surprised many. However, it made sense because she wanted to better prepare for the grass season. She’s been practicing for weeks and will return to the courts against a qualifier in the first round.

One of the qualifiers will be drawn against the Brit, and if she wins, as she’s expected to, then she might face the second-seeded Marta Kostyuk, who is not an easy player to beat.

Another big name who will be playing at the event is the first-seeded Ons Jabeur, who was on the courts a few days ago in Paris, losing to Coco Gauff at Roland Garros.

Her return to grass will happen against Maria Camila Osorio, who might come from clay, but she certainly knows how to play on grass. Some other interesting first-round matchups include a meeting between Karolina Pliskova and Alycia Parks, which should be a festival of powerful serves.

Fans in Nottingham might see a lot of aces or a lot of double faults because both can excel in both disciplines. A British derby will be also played in Nottingham, as Harriet Dart will take on the third-seeded Katie Boulter in the first round, which should be a great spectacle for the crowd.
